Solis Statement on Iraq Study Group Report
 

Washington, D.C. -  Congresswoman Hilda L. Solis (CA-32) released the following statement on the report issued today by the Iraq Study Group:

"The bipartisan Iraq Study Group concluded what I have long believed - that it is time for a new direction in Iraq," said Congresswoman Solis. 

"We must unite around a key finding of this report and change the primary mission of our servicemen and women in Iraq from combat to training and support.  Only then can we achieve a safe and secure nation run by Iraqis.  Our troops deserve at least this, and so much more."
