This legislation would create a climate rebate system to hold low-income individuals and households harmless.

This legislation would return an equivalent loss in purchasing power resulting from national climate emissions reduction efforts to the lowest two quintiles through a combination of the EBT system, tax credits and LIHEAP and weatherization. This bill is pending consideration by the House Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, and Education and Labor Committees.
